Adam Jones

Stats:
Name: Adam Jones
Birth date: 7/23/1984
Birthplace: Pittsburgh, PA
Resides: Minden, NV
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 180 lbs.
Year started riding: 1994
Year got sponsored: 11 years old. Some bike shop gave me a set of gear that was probably lying in the back under something and I told my friends I was sponsored. Ha!
Year turned pro: 2001
Bike Type / Set-Up: Honda CR 250, set up for total bitchin’-ness
Other Sponsors: Fox, Monster, Maxxis, Ogio, Pro Taper, Pro Circuit, Works Connection, Honda pro oils
Shoe Size: 12
Music: I like everything from country music to hardcore. I think a variety is good cause I get bored easily. My favorite though is probably ‘80s butt rock like Maiden… and Metallica when they rocked.
Heroes: I don’t think I have any heroes... weird, huh? I guess ill just make one up then: Batman, cause he saves Gotham from bad guys!
Favorite movies: I love way too many movies to narrow it down to just one or two favorites, but I guess lately in my traveling CD case I’ve had “I Am Legend,” “We Own the Night,” “Basketball,” “Team America,” “Mallrats,” and ‘”Kingpin,” just to name a few.
Favorite word: fart, poop, terd, anything that has to do with making a number 2
Favorite food: burritos, specifically from Qdoba or Chipotle
Favorite video game: probably Guitar Hero, but any game where I get to hold a gun and kill aliens, people, dogs, cats or birds is pretty fun too.
Favorite Moto mag: It’s between “Transworld Motocross and “Racer X”
Favorite trick: Double grabs are a fun trick
Top 3 activities besides riding: hanging with my family, playing guitar, or riding wheelies on my 110 up and down the streets.
Video appearances: only a couple—once or twice in some of the On the Pipe movies.
Moto influences: I was always a big MC fan, but now my influences are just a little bit of everybody that I ride with day to day.
Favorite article of clothing: the piece of toilet paper stuck to my shoe
Best thing about Moto: every day I go to work I’m still riding a dirt bike!
Worst thing about Moto: people with big egos, fans who only care about who’s the "cool guy" (and not who rides good), and diarrhea the morning of a big contest.
Best place to ride: If I’m not riding freestyle I like to head out to the sand pits by my house in winter time and just make some fun corner/whoop tracks.
Worst place to go: I’m for sure not a big fan of going to Europe, but it’s hard to say no to a paycheck
Words of wisdom: always give it an extra wipe, even if you think you don’t need it.
Thank you to: Everyone that’s helped me from day one, my wife for supporting me and getting through all the tough times when I’m on the road and leave her home to all the bills and work, all the sponsors of mine who have been there from the beginning of my career (which is most all of them), my parents for supporting me through my amateur days, Jimmy Button for being my homie as well as a great manager, the rest of WMG for helping me through all the hotel cancellations through the years, and most importantly to all the fans who have supported me or cheered me on or even came to see me at an event somewhere. Thanks to everyone that has made my career as good as it has been so far!
